Details

Situated high on a hillside located in the gated community of Upper Peter Bay a stylish sanctuary setting for this magnificent property. Villa Carlota is a true luxury retreat, with its five large bed and bath suites all air-conditioned in three pavilions. The villa's main structure features a spacious great room which includes a large gourmet kitchen bordered by a long countertop with stools. Adjacent is the dining area and a powder room right around the corner.

On the other side of the great room is the living area with a 50-inch flat-screen satellite TV, a Bose sound system, a large movie and music collection. Louvered and screened mahogany doors open from the living area to the covered verandah with a large table for alfresco dining with a view. From the great room, a curved staircase leads to the spacious second-level master suite with a home office. This king master suite features a Ralph Lauren four-poster bed with an adjacent air conditioned walk-in closet.

Mahogany doors open to a verandah on the ocean side of the pavilion, set with chaise lounges. The en-suite marble bath provides double sinks linked by a huge wall-to-wall mirror, a Jacuzzi bathtub, and a separate glass-and-marble shower. Outside the master bath is the roofed hot tub pavilion paved with a coral stone floor. The spa pavilion is off the master suite, anyone may access the hot tub from the driveway courtyard or from the great room with a key.

Villa Carlota's third level is a second bedroom and bath suite, this room has a four-poster queen bed. The views from this suite's windows are spectacular. The terrace and pool is located outside the main structure.

There is a green 'bamboo' marble wet bar with mini-fridge and icemaker, a stainless steel professional gas rotisserie grill built into a stone grilling area allows for great grilled meals inside or out - the area easily connects to kitchen and dining area via the hallway.

On the other side of the Pool Terrace Villa Carlota's second pavilion, offers two centrally-air-conditioned king bedroom and bath suites on two levels for total privacy. On the lower level of this pavilion is the laundry room with two washers and two dryers; this area has a private service entrance to allow the housekeepers to enter the house from the driveway courtyard without disturbing guests. A small screened exercise room adjoins the second pavilion.

The driveway courtyard has lots of parking and turn around space for three cars, and an outside shower. Across this courtyard is the quaint Cottage Suite, private and secluded from the rest of the property. This Air-conditioned cottage offers a living area with a balcony overlooking the main villa, a full bath, small kitchen with a covered patio for meals. On the upper level, a king or two-twin bedroom with a full bath, and a large verandah, balcony in front. Indulge yourself at this beautiful 5 star property.


NOTE:

  1. 1-8 guests: have use of the Main Villa only (1 king master, 2 kings and 1 queen in 2 separate pavilions flanking the pool terrace). 9-10 guests: have use of the Main Villa's 4 bedroom/bath suites plus the Cottage Suite (1 king OR 2 twins, with advance notice) and two full baths.

Extra Services:

  1. -St. John Arrivals: You are required to phone your contact person before you board the ferry from St. Thomas to St. John, so they will know what time and at which dock you will be arriving so they can meet you there promptly. Please travel with all island contact numbers.
  2. -You'll be met upon arrival at the airport, ferry dock, OR at your car rental agency, led to your property, and when you arrive at your property, you'll be given the keys and a walkthrough of the property to help get you settled and comfortable. You will also be given an island orientation so you can get around. *There is no extra charge for these services, although a tip for your escort is at your discretion. You'll be given an island manager's phone numbers for contact during your vacation.
  3. -Transportation back to the airport or ferry dock upon your departure is not provided. Please be sure that you rent a vehicle large enough for your entire party plus your luggage. Island rental cars are usually small compact models, and jeeps will hold four passengers but little to no luggage. Please plan accordingly
  4. -Car rentals are highly recommended. If you choose not to rent a car for your arrival, then you must pay a taxi to take you and your luggage to your property. Property managers and escort staff cannot carry guests as passengers due to liability insurance restrictions.
  5. -Upper Peter Bay is a gated community, gate is closed at all times PLUS electronic gate into property.
  6. -Concierge: can arrange car rentals, massage, grocery provisioning, chefs, marine activities (SCUBA, snorkel, day sails, etc.) and just about anything else you can imagine - before and during your stay!
